About the app
«Питание БЭСТ» helps you view the school menu, choose meals, see your order history and internal balance, switch between accounts and receive notifications.
This is a free, non-commercial app for a school in Kazakhstan. Accounts are provided by the administration. Administrators top up balances. The app does not accept payments, offer paid subscriptions or ask for bank card or bank account details.
The personal data operator is the administration of ОФРО «БЭСТ». The developer is Vyacheslav Tkachenko. This policy applies to the current Android app com.vinci.bestfood and iOS app com.vinci.bestfood.
What information is processed
- Account: school login, internal identifier, first and last name, class or group, canteen and gender recorded in the profile. Some information is entered by the school administration.
- Contact details: phone number and email address, if provided in the profile. You can change them in the app. The phone number is used, among other things, to restore access by SMS.
- School meals: selected dishes and number of portions, order dates and history, automatic order settings, internal balance and administrative records of balance changes.
- App operation: installation identifier, session information and when the session was last used, platform, app version, language and technical error information.
- Notifications: Firebase identifiers and the notification delivery token. The notification service also processes technical information about the app and device that is needed for delivery.
- Requests: contact details and the content of your request when you write to support or contact us about your data.
This information is used to provide account access, keep school meal records, deliver messages, provide support and resolve technical errors. We do not use it for advertising, selling data or tracking users across other companies' apps.
Permissions and your choices
You can allow or disable notifications in your device settings. They inform you about menus, order deadlines and balance changes. Disabling notifications does not prevent you from viewing menus or managing orders.
Face ID, a fingerprint or the device passcode is used only to protect sign-in locally on the device. Verification is performed by the operating system. The app does not receive or store biometric templates.
The app does not request access to the device's location, address book, microphone, camera, personal photos or calendar. Meal images and the meal calendar are part of the school service's content.
Who helps process data
Authorised administrators can access data to the extent needed to operate the school meal service. Infrastructure providers and the following services support its technical operation:
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on iOS, Apple Push Notification service deliver notifications. A message may contain the account name, menu information or balance information; it may appear on the lock screen according to the device settings.
- SMSC sends SMS messages to the phone number in the profile to restore access.
- Sentry is a diagnostic service configured on the server to process technical errors.
Providers access data to perform technical tasks on our behalf and are required not to disclose it or use it for other purposes. Data may also be provided where required by applicable law. Some providers may process data outside Kazakhstan; the app being available only in Kazakhstan does not mean that all technical processing takes place within the country.

Protection and retention
The app sends requests to the school service over a secure HTTPS connection. Sign-in tokens are stored in the operating system's secure storage. Some data is also stored on the device for convenient use and to view previously downloaded information.
We retain data for the period needed to organise school meals and operate the account, while the relationship with the user continues or legal retention obligations apply. If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it. When we receive a deletion request, we consider which information can be deleted and which must be retained to meet applicable obligations. If particular data must be retained, we explain the reason and the applicable retention period.
Signing out or uninstalling the app is not the same as deleting the school account and its history. Please send a separate request for this.
Correcting and deleting data
A user or a child's legal representative can request information about processing, correction of data, termination of access or deletion of data. You can change contact details yourself in the profile section.
The data deletion request procedure explains what to include in your request and how verification works. Do not send a password, bank details or documents unless specifically requested.

When our processing practices change, we update this page and state the date of the new revision. You can write to the address above with any privacy questions.
